Your information, explained.
This notice describes data handled by the current MicroGig early-access release. Additional provider and operator disclosures will be required before identity verification, wallets, email notifications, or paid work are introduced.
What you provide
Registration collects your name, email address, country or territory, and acceptance of the early-access terms. Your optional profile includes your general area, timezone, preferred weekly hours, interests, and notification preferences. Support conversations store the messages you send and the team’s replies. The public Contact us form stores your name, email address, subject, and message in our administrative support inbox, even if you do not have an account. Your email address is self-reported, not verified by submitting the form.
Passkeys and sessions
MicroGig stores your passkey’s public credential and verification information. Your device or passkey provider controls the private credential. We do not receive your fingerprint, face data, or device PIN. Essential HTTP-only cookies keep you signed in and connect your browser to a short-lived passkey request. Sessions expire after eight hours; passkey requests expire after five minutes.
Acquisition and operational records
When you follow a tagged link, the site may preserve its source, medium, campaign, and content identifiers in browser session storage and associate them with your registration. We use these identifiers to understand how people discover MicroGig. We record account and administrative events for support and accountability. The application temporarily uses request addresses for rate limits, and hosting infrastructure may retain access and error logs.
How information is used
Your information supports account access, profile preferences, country-specific opportunity previews, support responses, and aggregate community reporting. Authorized administrators can access contractor profiles, support tickets, and public contact messages. Contact details are used to handle your enquiry and follow up if needed; the website does not automatically send contact emails. Notification preferences are saved, but this release does not send lifecycle email. It does not collect precise GPS coordinates, phone verification data, identity documents, or payment keys.
Storage and account requests
Account information is stored in the platform database. Backups may contain prior copies. Data is retained while your account remains active; account closure and deletion requests are handled through support, including assessment of any records that need to be retained. This release does not promise an automatic deletion schedule.
Changes and contact
Use support in your workspace or the Contact us form to request access, correction, or deletion of your information, or to ask about this notice. Operator and provider details will be completed before the paid-work phase. Material changes will be announced in the platform.
